I’m a witch, you’re a witch, everyone’s a witch

I know the word’s been eroded by the unfortunate events of 2016-2020. Everything is a witch hunt. But then again, everything is also Hitler, so perhaps it’ll balance itself out.

I have spent my whole life on the Internet. And I learned two things from that:

1) I have spent my whole life on the Internet

2) I like to drink a lot

I love expressing myself and my thoughts in part because it gives me the opportunity to explore my ideas, having them challenged, developing a critical mind, and becoming a more mature thinker, and in part because I’m a narcissistic asshole.

I find myself being persecuted for it. Apparently, thinking higher of oneself than of any other living, dead, or fictional person precludes you from being allowed to speak. I chalk this up to people having trouble accepting the cold hard truths of life. Nobody wants to realize their inferiority by having it served on a platter of word salad. They don’t have to eat it, but I’ll be damned if I’ll let myself be refused to serve it.

So after spending my whole life basically being angry at people I never met and never will for not being more intelligent and letting themselves be defeated by the hard realities of their own shortcomings, I was suddenly banned from Reddit.

Oh.

I see.

Now that they’re making MONEY it’s a problem.

They didn’t have a problem with me insulting them for over a decade up until that point. Coincidence much? Which segues the direction of this rambling stream of semi-consciousness into another problem: the commercialization of the Open Forum. But we’ll get to that, because there is a greater threat to the open exchange of thoughts and ideas than the rabies-smitten hydra that is corporate influence, namely: The Users.

For some reason people seem to have this tendency to use their rights to infringe the rights of others, regardless if it infringes upon their rights as well. It’s a recurring issue. Some people want some rights to be afforded to certain people or groups only, and, well, if that qualification isn’t met, they’d rather have those rights taken away from everyone else along with their own as well.

It’s a funny thing, but here we are.

In this blog I will discuss these kind of topics, in a manner that I am not allowed elsewhere, right up until I receive my final inevitable Internet-wide permaban, forcing me to knock on every door of every person on this planet, and tell them to their face instead.

Would you prefer that?

All right then. Welcome to my blog.
